Technical Guidelines : Do's

Do refill the cooling system with manufacturers recommend type of coolant

Do refill with the correct percentage % of coolant.

Do check the conditions of the hoses/clips and replace if required.

Do use a vacuum fill type cooling system filler where available.

Do use degreaser to flush out the cooling system if oil contamination has occurred.

Do check the operation of the thermo switch.

Do check the operation of the thermostat and radiator cap.

Do flush out the cooling system every 24 months and refill with new coolant.

Do flush out the cooling system prior to fitting a new radiator.

Technical Guidelines : Don't's

Don't mix different types of anti-freeze.

Don't leave anti-freeze in open containers where small children and animals can get into it. Remember anti-freeze is harmful if swallowed.

Don't put anti-freeze down drains. Always dispose of coolants via a recognised waste disposal company.
