Universal Fitting Or Vehicle Specific?

All of our catalytic converters are vehicle specific, we do not supply universal fitting ones. Fitting the wrong type of cat to your vehicle could have very detrimental effects on the engine management system, and could turn out very costly indeed.

What Type Of Catalysts Do We Stock?

We can usually offer three different types of catalytic converter, when you make a price enquiry we will usually quote you on the one which we think offers the best value for money , the three types of catalytic converters are ;

Timax Metal Cat

Our Flag Ship Catalytic Converter from Arvin Timax, this cat is the most superior catalysts on the market today. The major benefit of the Metal cat is the part that you don't see, the internal monolith.

Unlike normal catalytic converters the Metal cats internal monolith is made from metal and not ceramic materials

ArvinMeritor Light Vehicle Aftermarket has chosen the metal substrate as it performs much better and offers higher thermal and mechanical resistance than a ceramic monolith. As well as achieving lower than usual back-pressure levels, another advantage of using metal substrates is that they are fully environment-friendly: they are entirely recyclable.

All of the Metal cat range of catalytic converters come boxed with all the fixtures and fittings required for easy installation and are backed by a 4 year national guarantee.

Timax Euro Cat

The Timax Euro cat is still manufactured to the high standards that you would expect from a large multinational company like Timax but it is aimed at a different end of the market.

The Euro cat is primarily aimed at the "budget" conscious motorist, the range is not as vast as the Metal cat purely because it is aimed at the UK market. The Euro cat uses a ceramic monolith to keep the manufacturing costs down.

All Timax Euro cats are produced entirely in the UK at Timax's Blackpool plant.

The Euro cat is supplied in a plain white box and is not supplied with any fixtures or fittings and comes with a 12 month national warranty, an ideal product for the older car.

Our Own Brand Cats

In conjunction with a local catalyst manufacture we now produce our own brand of catalytic converter which offer significant savings over original equipment dealer prices. The range covers the high end of the market that Timax does not catalogue.

We can offer savings of around £300 over a dealer price on cats for Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Lexus to name but a few, give us a try, we can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Cat Patterning Service

On the very rare occasion that we are unable to source a cat for you we can have one manufactured to pattern.

Simply contact our sales department to discuss your requirements. We will quote you as accurately as possible, but sometimes this can be difficult on unusual applications.

Once it arrives with us we will do a final costing and confirm the price with you by telephone, once we have had confirmation from you work will commence.

The cat is taken to our engineers who measure the angles and rotations of the cat with a state of the art laser mapping machine. This information is then used to produce the new pipe work exactly to the specifications of the old one.
